What does success look like?
The Why?
Neurodiversity and Neurodivergence is largely unrecognized and underaccommodated severely impacting the ability of neurodivergent individuals to thrive and contribute meaningfully to an organization. The estimate is that 15-20% of the population are neurodivergent. This means that workplaces are missing out when not including a portion of the diverse population. Workplaces need to be inclusive of all diversity and practice proactive inclusion of neurodivergence, empowering managers to lead diverse teams, and HR to attract, build and retain talent, in order to build sustainable companies that are better able to navigate complexity and change. A global search found that support for corporates and individuals in South Africa and emerging markets is lacking.
Why Us?
Stimm draws in a circle of cross-discipline expertise to bring impactful solutions for companies and neurodivergent individuals. Our circle of associates includes coaches, neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, Human Resources consultants, Employment Equity specialists, facilitators and change leaders. The core team of Sarah, NobuLali and Sue have their own journeys with neurodiversity and so bring in a sharp focus, passion and empathy with their respective lived experiences. Sarah has worked for over 30 years in change leadership, strategy, culture change and leadership development across companies. She has experienced what it is like to transform a business to be inclusive, collaborative, humane and agile to sustain in the future of a fast changing world. Most often there is a great gap between the aspired culture and the lived culture which exacerbates low employee engagement, poor mental health, exclusion and low innovation. Together we are passionate about building alternate futures to enable individuals and businesses to thrive.

Young Adults Support
Young adults with neurodivergence will go through various phases in their working lives, and we aim to provide support at various phases:
- Seeking and matching work interests and work routes
- Approaches to applying for work
- Entering the workplace and workplace readiness
- Working lives and self advocacy
- Exiting work
We offer practical tools and skills in workshops offered online and in person. Integrated into our approach is tuning into personal awareness and self development, building self esteem, confidence and maintaining hope, the ability to course adjust and maintain the journey. Given the often gruelling nature of this journey we also offer coaching packages – starting with 6 sessions with a matched coach to given one-on-one support. For sustained support we build Young Adult Pods for gatherings for regular support circles, expert input, and shared experiences for learning and feedback.
Parents Support
Parents and the guardianship circle provides ongoing guidance and they themselves often need support and input to provide relevant tools and skills. Mostly for parents also to gain support for themselves through this journey. In the light of this we host bi-monthly parent pods.
